The reason I didn't post this thread in the "American Idol Season 7" topic was because this is a serious matter, and I don't want the Idol thread to be filled with complaints.

Take a look again at the video of David's trip home.

After seeing that I [Ben] cannot understand how anyone could not fall in love with this guy's soul and not decide that he has rightfully earned the title of American Idol. So I wanted to start off today with the positive and congratulate David Archuleta for truly earning his way into the finale this week. No matter what happens...no matter how Nigel Lythgoe manipulates things next week you have already won in my book David.

The third time I shed a tear last night was when David Archuleta was told he was in the finale. The look of surprise and shock got to me. People that really don't know David like to say that all that surprised look stuff is an act. I know differently. All season long, and even before he was on the show, he really never thought he was as good or popular as he is.

He always seems to prop up others instead of himself. I know, in his mind last night, he had to be thinking..."well Cook and Syesha are way better than me"....because that is the kind of person he is. Never coceited, never smug, never self-absorbed, so it would stand to reason he was thinking something like that and that is why he looked so shocked when Ryan told us what we already knew...that it is David vs. David...or as I am thinking about it good vs. evil next week...the evil isn't specifically David Cook as a person...its Nigel Lythgoe and the manipulation and the extra edge he gave Cook this week over David Archuleta.

Speaking of manipulation and Nigel Lythgoe...

In a revealing interview yesterday, on FOX 13 in Salt Lake City, Dean Kaelin..David Archuleta's vocal coach let the cat out of the bag so to speak. Here is some of what he said (some of the quotes may not be his exact words...I shortened some things for this post but you can click the link above to listen to what he says)

The FOX 13 anchors asked Dean how he thought David sang the Billy Joel song since he was in the live audience Tuesday. Dean said David sang it well but there were some things that didn't seem right to him.

"The thing that was interesting to me though, was the positioning of everything. That was David's best song and they had him sing it first. And of course David Cook's best song was last."

"I was expecting David to sing 'Longer' with an uptempo beat, that's how he practiced it and just the day before the producers told him you have to sing it this other way. There is some wierd positioning things happening there."

"And like David Cook, the best song he sang at the end, that was a song that David [Archuleta] got approved for two weeks; David Archuleta was going to sing that song [the Aeorosmith song] and then like last week they took it away from David Archuleta and gave it to David Cook. And so it was kind of wierd...David gets 'Longer' and this guy [Cook] gets that wonderful song."

"David also told me that Syesha wanted to use string and they said she couldn't yet David Cook got to use strings so there are some wierd games being played on American Idol"

TAKE NOTE OF THAT AND GET THAT BIT AND THE VIDEO LINK TO KAELIN'S SEGMENT ON FOX13 TO THE SYESHA FAN PAGES...LET THEM KNOW THAT NIGEL LYTHGOE AND THE SHOW SCREWED SYESHA AS MUCH AS THEY DID DAVID ARCHULETA...WE REALLY NEED THE CROSS OVER VOTE OF SYESHA'S FANS NEXT WEEK.

THEY HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THAT IT WASN'T ARCHULETA WHO BUMPED HER OUT OF THE TOP TWO...IT WAS COOK WHO HAS TO BE WELL AWARE OF NIGEL LYTHGOE ENGINEERING WHAT HE HOPES WILL BE A SLAM DUNK FOR COOK NEXT WEEK.

On David's father being kept out of the arrangement session for the first time this week Kaelin revealed this:

"It didn't effect his performance and he was still in touch with them. But the thing that was wierd was Jeff wasn't allowed back in the rehersal area and then the producer [Nigel Lythgoe] came to David and said we are going to change your arrangement; we are not going to do it that uptempo way you want to do it we want you to do it this way."

"So I think that was the biggest problem because Jeff would have stood up for David and say hey, no, you can't make those changes [the day before the show] yet David being a nice, easy going kid kind of rolls with the punches a little bit better. So I still think David sang beautifully...if he could have put "Longer" first and "And So It Goes" lasty it would have been a different night."

AND THERE YOU HAVE IT...THE TRUTH FINALLY COMES OUT

Since last Saturday I have maintained that the crap about Jeff Archuleta being banned and that TMZ story, which everyone from the AP to entertainment shows and other sites ran irresponsibly, was a load of bullshit. After people dragged Jeff Archuleta through the coals for a few days and the idea that David may not be so talented without his dad doing things for him...after waiting just the right amount of time Nigel Lythgoe finally makes a press statement.
If you will recall, in the statement Lythgoe said:

NIGEL LYTHGOE: "Banished" is a terrible word, isn't it? It sounds like we're in some far-off kingdom. He has been asked not to participate in the choice of music with David or be in the room when David is working out his routines that he wants to sing. He's fine to be in the studio -- nothing wrong with that. We just want David to be able to be free like everybody else to get on and do what they want to do.

Yet we have just learned that "the producer", presumably Lythgoe, took a planned song away from David Archuleta and gave it to Cook. We learned that "the producer" went in the day before the show and refused to let David sing the uptempo version of "Longer" which probably would have been a hit and less drab than the one he was FORCED to sing.

We just learned that he did not let Syesha Mercado use the string section while he let Cook do that and in a report, I posted late yesterday, he was seen pumping his fists in the air after Cook's last song and asking someone nearby what was wrong with Randy Jackson when Randy was being honest and not ignoring the fact that Cook's take on the Aerosmith song was a disaster.

So who do they think they are fooling?

They didn't get Jeff out of the picture to look at for David Archuleta's "best interest"...they got him out of the way so he wouldn't be there to speak up for his son when he was being screwed.

He gave Cook the best song and David the worst...the positioning pimped Cook Tuesday...and like Dean Kaelin said in that interview..."David actually comes off better sounding on TV then in the auditorium"... I would assume that would go for all the performers and that is because TV makes even the most horrid things seem good...TV made George W. Bush seem like a good idea...and you have seen...especially at the gas pumps how that turned out...enough said on that...you get the point.

That is why Cook has been given the best camera angles and the best lighting when David Archuleta and Syesha Mercado were given bland lighting at best. This is why we have never seen Cook sit there with bland light with an acoustic guitar...it would not be all that exciting...it wouldn't come off stellar and getting a tooth pulled without Novicaine would probably be more thrilling.

So now we all know the truth...Jeff Archuleta was suddenly removed this week to prevent him from speaking up against the dirty tricks and manipulation by Lythgoe in an effort to make sure Cook outshined everyone else last Tuesday.

We know it but the mainstream press isn't reporting any of this and I think American Idol voters need to know just what went on. Jeff's name needs to be cleared...websites, newshows and bloggers that have dissed this man need to print retractions and apologies.

They need to write blogs and pieces in that explain the situation like Dean Kaelin and I did...then people may have a different opinion of David Archuleta...maybe then they will see and get angered by the fact that a sweet and kind young teen was minimized on purpose, and manpulated...because Lythgoe knew that polite David wouldn't argue with directives from the producer like his defender dad would.

So we have a job to do...today this information needs to be blogged on your sites...Syesha Mercado fans need to be made aware that their girl was screwed on shownight to prop up Cook as well. We need to send, at least the interview with Dean Kaelin, to sites like EW, and other reputable TV shows...this needs to be sent to the AP, the Salt Lake City paper and your local news outlets. demand that these people print and report the truth and admit they slandered Jeff Archuleta with no basis in fact.

Sites like Mjsbigblog and Rickey.org, with huge followings, need to do the right thing...no matter who they want to win... and print the truth about all this...because it is not a dig against David Cook himself...it is about the show that claims we pick the winner manipulating things so America gets conned into picking the winner the show wants.

If you can help me spread the truth and help David Archuleta in the process that will be your good deed for the day...trust me this is important and if the truth gets out it may be the difference between our David winning or losing next week.

Watch the video of his homecoming again and then tell me you do not have the time or the desire to help clear his dad's name and defend David Archuleta when he cannot defend himself due to the stipulation in the contract that says he can't do press interviews on his own.

No one in the mainstream press or high traffic blogs are doing so on his behalf...I, for one, cannot say that I love this guy... as a human being and as a performer... and close my eyes to the way he has been treated on this show...and his dad deserves better too.

It almost seem like i didn't go to sleep watching it.
